Why I Created This Course…

I’m Jodi Alieksaites, the creator of this course. I am a full-time psychotherapist, trained in Contemplative & Somatic Psychotherapy.

I created this course because I want to share ideas for sensory burnout prevention particularly for people with Sensory Processing Sensitivity.

I often think how my life would have been more easeful if I had known I was highly-sensitive earlier in my life & instead of trying to change myself, to have had tools to help with sensory overwhelm. My life would not have been riddled with episodes of burnout.

That’s my hope for anyone engaging this course…that new knowledge & tools result in less or no burnout.

All the best & I hope you find this course helpful,

Jodi

This course is NOT a quick fix…the content is dense & intended to propose a menu of options for you to choose from to curate to your own needs.

managing expectations

My intention for this course is to provide a variety of tools for you to try to increase your well-being & interrupt burnout cycles.

That said, I do not want to send the message that you can do these practices without setting boundaries.

The point is not to continue to push yourself while using tools as band-aids.

It is about beginning to shift your lifestyle if you really want to not find yourself in burnout

This is not about doing more…it’s about doing less…

Important Note: Individuals who are Autistic or are ADHDers suffer with higher levels & frequency of sensory burnout. I won’t be addressing these populations super explicitly in this course, but I want you to know that I keep those neuro-differences in mind in this course content to a great degree, but it’s beyond the scope of this course to name all the concerns that may come with being Autistic or an ADHDer.
